Aila Money Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 15477044. Our registered office is Serapis House, 28 Goodluck Hope Walk, London E14 0XN, United Kingdom.
You can contact us at hello@ailamoney.com.
1. Please Read These Terms
By using Aila, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
You should also read our Privacy and Cookie Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal data.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Aila.
2. What Aila Does
Aila is a financial education and planning service. It helps you:
- understand and organise information about your financial situation;
- estimate the cost of life goals and plans;
- receive educational content and financial guidance prompts;
- build budgeting, saving and investing knowledge;
- access coaching, workshops or support where available;
- request introductions to financial advisers or other specialist providers where appropriate.
Aila may deliver services through our website, app, WhatsApp, SMS, email, social media, live events, online events or other digital channels.
We may update, improve, remove or add features from time to time.
3. Guidance, Not Financial Advice
Aila Money Ltd is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and does not provide regulated financial advice.
Aila provides financial education, planning tools and guidance only. We do not recommend that you buy, sell, hold or switch any specific investment, pension, insurance, credit product or other regulated financial product.
Any content, prompt, calculation, coach comment or educational material is general guidance or education. It is not personal financial advice, tax advice, legal advice or investment advice.
Your financial situation is unique. You are responsible for your own financial decisions. If you need regulated financial advice, you should speak to an appropriately authorised adviser and check the FCA Financial Services Register.
4. Regulatory Position
Unless we tell you otherwise in writing:
- Aila does not hold client money;
- Aila does not arrange investments, pensions, insurance, credit or other regulated products;
- Aila does not provide account information services or payment initiation services;
- Aila does not provide regulated debt advice, mortgage advice, insurance advice or investment advice.
If we introduce a regulated feature, Open Banking connection, account information service, payment service or regulated partner service, we will provide separate information and obtain any consent required before you use it.
Aila customers do not qualify for compensation from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme for Aila's own unregulated services. The Financial Ombudsman Service will not usually cover complaints about Aila's own unregulated services, although it may cover services you receive from an authorised third party.
5. Your Information
Aila works best when the information you give us is accurate and up to date. You choose what information to provide, but some features may not work properly if information is missing, incomplete or inaccurate.
We do not independently verify financial information you provide unless we expressly say otherwise. Calculations, projections and prompts may be inaccurate if your inputs are inaccurate.
You must not submit information about another person unless you have their permission.
6. Your Account And Security
You are responsible for keeping your device, messaging accounts, email accounts, passwords and access details secure.
You must tell us promptly at hello@ailamoney.com if:
- your device is lost or stolen;
- you think someone else has accessed your Aila messages or account;
- your phone number, email address or other contact details change;
- you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from Aila.
You are also responsible for complying with the terms and privacy policies of any third-party platform you use to access Aila, such as WhatsApp, email providers, app stores or social media platforms.
7. Fees And Paid Services
Some Aila services may be free. We may charge for other services, including coaching sessions, group coaching, workshops, premium features or digital content.
We will tell you the price, what is included, how to pay, and any important cancellation terms before you buy a paid service.
Prices may change from time to time. A price change will not affect a paid service you have already purchased unless we told you about the change before you purchased it or you agree to the change.
Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not store full card details.
8. Coaching Bookings And Cancellations
If you book a coaching session, you agree to attend at the agreed time and to pay any fee shown before booking.
You can cancel or reschedule a coaching session without charge if you give us at least 24 hours' notice. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or do not attend, we may charge for that session unless your statutory rights require otherwise.
If you buy multiple coaching sessions, they are valid for 12 months from purchase unless we state a different period before you buy. You may request a refund for unused sessions. We may deduct the value of sessions already used and any reasonable charges we are legally allowed to retain.
9. Consumer Cancellation Rights
If you buy a paid service online or at a distance, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason.
For services, if you ask us to start providing the service during the 14-day cancellation period, you may have to pay for the part of the service already provided before you cancel. If the service has been fully performed during the cancellation period with your prior request and acknowledgement, you may lose the right to cancel once the service is complete.
For digital content or digital services supplied immediately, we will ask for any consent and acknowledgement required by law before you lose cancellation rights.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
To cancel, contact hello@ailamoney.com and tell us what you want to cancel.
10. Adviser Introductions
If you ask us to introduce you to a financial adviser or other specialist, we may use information you provide to identify a potentially relevant provider.
An introduction does not mean that we recommend the adviser, their advice, their products or their services. You must decide whether to speak to or appoint that adviser.
Before you act on advice or buy a financial product, you should check:
- whether the adviser or firm is authorised by the FCA;
- what permissions they have;
- what fees they charge;
- what protections, if any, apply to their service.
The adviser or third party is responsible for the advice, products or services they provide to you. Their own terms and privacy notice will apply.
We may receive a referral fee, commission or other commercial benefit if we introduce you to an adviser or third party. We will disclose the existence and basis of any such benefit in the relevant customer journey or before the introduction where required.
11. AI And Automated Tools
Aila may use artificial intelligence, rules-based tools or automation to generate educational content, summaries, prompts, goals, suggested actions or support responses.
AI and automated outputs may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. They should not be treated as financial advice or as a substitute for professional judgement.
We may monitor and review AI outputs to improve quality, safety and compliance. You can contact hello@ailamoney.com if you want help from a person or want to query an output.
12. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use Aila for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or harmful purposes;
- copy, scrape, reverse engineer, resell or exploit Aila or its content without our permission;
- interfere with or disrupt the service, website, app, systems or networks;
- attempt to access data, accounts or systems without permission;
- upload malware, spam, misleading content or offensive material;
- use Aila for commercial purposes unless we agree in writing.
We may suspend or end access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, created a security risk, acted abusively, misused the service or if we need to comply with law.
13. Intellectual Property
Aila, our website, app, content, designs, prompts, tools, branding and materials are owned by Aila Money Ltd or our licensors.
We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use Aila for your own personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.
You must not use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
If you provide feedback, suggestions or ideas, we may use them to improve Aila without paying you or naming you, unless we agree otherwise.
14. Availability And Changes
We try to keep Aila available and working, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
The service may be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, security issues, third-party outages, internet problems, messaging platform issues or events outside our control.
We may change, pause, withdraw or replace parts of the service. If a change materially affects a paid service you have already bought, we will take reasonable steps to tell you and protect your consumer rights.
15. Third-Party Services And Links
Aila may contain links, integrations or introductions to third-party websites, apps, advisers, coaches, payment providers, messaging platforms or other services.
We are not responsible for third-party services unless we are legally responsible for them. Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms and privacy notices.
16. Our Responsibility To You
We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- breach of your statutory rights;
- defective digital content where the law gives you a remedy.
We provide Aila for domestic and private use only. We are not liable for business losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
We are not responsible for losses caused by:
- inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date information you provide;
- financial decisions you make after using guidance or educational content;
- third-party advice, products or services;
- your failure to keep your device, accounts or messages secure;
- events outside our reasonable control.
This does not affect any rights you have under consumer law.
17. Ending Your Use Of Aila
You may stop using Aila at any time. You can also ask us to close your account or delete personal data by contacting hello@ailamoney.com.
When your account is closed, we will delete or anonymise personal data as described in our Privacy and Cookie Policy, except where we need to keep limited records for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, complaints, insurance or dispute reasons.
We may end or suspend your access if:
- you breach these Terms;
- we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, security risk or misuse;
- your use creates risk for us, other users or a third party;
- we need to comply with law;
- we stop providing the relevant service.
Where practical and lawful, we will tell you why we have suspended or ended access.
18. Complaints
If you have a complaint, contact hello@ailamoney.com.
We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to provide a full response as soon as reasonably possible.
If your complaint relates to a third-party adviser, coach, payment provider or other provider, you may need to complain to that provider directly. If the provider is FCA-authorised, they may have their own complaints procedure and the Financial Ombudsman Service may apply to their regulated service.
For data protection concerns, you may also contact the Information Commissioner's Office.
19. Changes To These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If we make a material change, we will take reasonable steps to tell you, such as updating the website, emailing you or showing an in-service notice.
If you do not agree with a material change, you can stop using Aila and cancel any affected paid service where your consumer rights allow this.
20. Transfer Of Rights
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation. We will tell you if this happens and will make sure the transfer does not reduce your rights.
You may transfer your rights only with our written consent.
21. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you live in England or Wales, disputes can be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you may bring proceedings in Scotland or England and Wales. If you live in Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in Northern Ireland or England and Wales.
